As I may be returning to Israel this year, i wanted to learn more than the 3 years of Hebrew School I can remember (which is little if anything). After reading the reviews of all the other Apps, and having had the Lite version of this (Word a Day) i took a gamble (since there were only 2 reviews, neither positive).
That it has more words (ALMOST 2000) and phoenetics is great! I LOVE that I can hear the pronunciation as well as the Hebrew spelling. Better to hear so when i am there and someone tells me something, I dont have to ask them to write it.
I like the word bank. I will stock up on the words I think will be most useful and learn those before I go, the rest I can reference.
Words are in categories (great for looking) as well as searching. I dont worry about speaking like a native when I am there. Besides, I would think if I say "Where Bathroom" will get me what I need just as good as "Where is your bathroom?"! Since I was unable to access the Hebrew Travel website (even though only $5) what I saw did not give me enough of what I need.
So, heres to the company that offers the most comprehensive and useful Hebrew dictionary in the App store.
